As an artist community and arts organisation we firmly believe that art (visual art, craft and sculpture) should be accessible to everyone. Not only should people be able to access art, art should be accessible for people i.e. it needs to be easy for them to understand and enjoy. Creativity is an innate ability that we all possess and that is applied to our daily lives in a huge variety of ways without us realising. Our Art Sessions enable the participants to embrace their creativity and enjoy the creative process rather than to be too concerned with the finished result.

We currently deliver 200 Art Sessions a month to over 1000 participants, which is testament to the wonderful Art Sessions that our community deliver to care homes and other venues.

All of our artists are fully trained to ensure that they deliver the best service to your care home or venue. Each artist has an enhanced DBS check, public liability insurance and all of the art materials and equipment to deliver the sessions.

Our Art Sessions have many proven benefits such as boosting self-confidence and esteem, increasing cognitive stimulation; they improve dexterity and motor skills and allow the participants to socialise with their peers.

Every Art Session that we deliver is adapted and accessible to all participants, to ensure that everyone can take part and enjoy the Art Sessions regardless of age and ability.

Our Art Sessions are only £65 and are 1hr and a half to 2hrs in length. We can also charge a per person rate for smaller residences.

We recommend having the Art Sessions delivered on a weekly or fortnightly basis so our artists can deliver more variety in the sessions. Some of the art work and projects that we explore with the participants can take more than 1 session to complete.

“Creative Minds is one of the most popular activities in our care home. It is such a pleasure to see the residents create works of art they can be proud of. We notice the resident’s concentration levels increase focusing on their painting and asking for assistance when they are unsure of sketching an outline. This is quite amazing as the residents have dementia and it is so good to see the amazing art created. We are very proud to display the art on our walls and enjoy the compliments from all our visitors. I would recommend Creative Minds to all care homes.”

“Creative Minds visits my mother’s care home once a fortnight. Hand on heart I can say that not only my mum, but all of the residents, and carers plus visiting relatives have been blown away by the warm, relaxed and professional approach when delivering their Art Sessions. They are always imaginative, fun and creative. I believe that these sessions provide far more to the individual than just an afternoon of fun. They build self confidence and stimulate memories for the participants. Thank you Creative Minds!”
