What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a method that businesses and projects use to raise small and large amounts of capital from an array of investors, typically through a 3rd party web-based platform such as Crowdcube.
Crowdfunding is a popular way of enabling everyone to participate and invest in businesses that they are passionate about. Investing is for everyone not just institutional investors and high net worth individuals.
Why is Creative Minds crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding because we want everyone to be able to invest and share in our success. After turning 5 last November, we are ready for the next stage of growth and development.
As a community organisation we can’t think of a better and more apt way for for us to raise capital than from our community; Our friends, family, Community Artists, social media followers and contacts i.e. everyone who is passionate about what we do!
How much are you hoping to raise?
We are looking to raise £100,000 and are giving away a 15% equity stake in the business in return.
What will you do with the capital raised?
The capital raised will be primarily used to bolster our core team and enable us to increase the commitment of the current core team, most of whom work part-time for us. We will also concentrate our efforts and increase our expansion across the UK. We currently have over 30 licencees in England but in 3 years we forecast a community of between 82-90 licencees, representing growth of around 200%.
The capital will also be used to enable us to develop and launch new revenue streams that are being planned and establish a global franchise presence. Within the next 3 years we expect to have franchises in the US, Australia, and Canada operational. We’re ambitious about our expansion plans and we firmly believe that there is a huge demand and desire for this service across the globe.
What is ‘private mode’?
The campaign is currently in ‘private mode’ which means that a private link will be posted to our direct network (family, friends, Community Artists, social media followers and contacts etc) to enable them to invest in Creative Minds prior to it going ‘live’ on the Crowdcube site.
Private mode is the perfect opportunity for you to invest in Creative Minds prior to the campaign going live and being accessible to nearly 500,000 Crowdcube retail and institutional investors.
When is the campaign going live on Crowdcube?
Our campaign will likely launch and go live on the website once we have raised 20% of our target, which is £20,000 although we may extend ‘private mode’ to give as many supporters as possible the opportunity to invest in us prior to going live.
Once live our campaign will be accessible to all investors for 30 days.
